A Coventry resident has been sentenced to over 13 years in prison after being implicated in a significant drug trafficking operation that distributed cocaine across the West Midlands.
Martin Brown, 40, was arrested while driving on the M6, where authorities discovered 130 kilograms of cocaine concealed in his van. This incident is part of a broader investigation into a drug trafficking conspiracy that has been flooding the West Midlands with illegal narcotics.
The investigation, conducted by the Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU), revealed that Brown was part of a four-member gang responsible for transporting large quantities of cocaine from London and Bedfordshire to the West Midlands. The gang was apprehended following the seizure of the drugs in November 2022.
In addition to Brown, three other associates were arrested in connection to the drug conspiracy. Piotrwoski, who was also found with cocaine, and the suppliers Mark Cheadle and Paul Patterson were later charged and sentenced for their roles in the operation.
Following the legal proceedings, Brown received a sentence of 13 years and 7 months, while Cheadle was sentenced to 15 years and 2 months, and Patterson to 12 years and 9 months in prison. Piotrowski was sentenced to 6 years.
